Mother's Day Card with the Cricut

Hi all.  How is everyone doing.  I am back to crafting again, yeah!!!  I have been working on a couple projects with Mother's day and Teacher Appreciation week approaching.  Today I have a Mother's Day card to share with you.

Card Recipe:

  • Card base is 6" by 6" DCWV Textured paper stack
  • Frame is cut on the Circuit Imagine at 5.5" x 5.5" using RBG code 153, 150, 71
  • Striped paper is DCWV Fabric paper
  • Flowers are cut with the Cricut from Forever Young.  The flower sizes are 1", 1.25", 1.5",1.75" and 2"
  • Pearls are Martha Stewart
  • Stitching is done with We R Memory Keepers Sew Easy and Floss
  • Mom is cut with the Ultimate Creative Sampler cartridge at 1.5"
  • Corner Chomper to round the card edges

I really love this card and can't wait to send it to my Mom.  This was also my first time using the Sew Easy tool and do really love how easy it is to use.  I am entering this card in the weekly challenge over at My Craft Spot.  I will have some more stuff up soon as I finish the projects.  Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a fabulous week.

Flower Thanks

Good afternoon all.  Thought I would get a quick post in while my kiddies were napping.  I made this great Thank You card for my hubbies Aunt and Uncle.  They sent the kids some crafty Christmas presents and they really loved them.  I really love how the card came out and think it is one of my favorites so far.

Card Recipe:

  • Card base is size A2
  • White Sakura gel pen for faux stitching
  • Elegant Edges cartridge swirl cut at 4" x 5.25"
  • Forever Young cartridge flower 10 cut at 2", 1.5", and 1"
  • Cappuccino twine from The Twinery
  • Buttons from stash
  • Sentiment from My Pink Stamper Everyday Life
For each flower I cut two 2", two 1.5" and one 1" and then staggered them.  I then bent the petals up around the layers.  I hope it stays that way through the mail but I am not holding my breath.  I am entering this in the bloom challenge over at Bitten By the Bug 2.  The challenge was to use the six petal cut from the Bloom cartridge but since I don't own that one I used the six petal flower from Forever Young.
Hope you enjoy the card and have a wonderful afternoon.

My Creative Time Design Team Call

Hi all, I came across the blog My Creative Time and saw that Emma was having her first design team call and thought maybe I will enter.  Well after much thought I came up with a project that I had been thinking about doing for a while, something 3-D.  I decided that I would make a purse that could hold a gift card for a birthday present.  I really had a great time putting this together and it was easier than I thought it would be.  So here it is:

The Recipe:

  • The purse is the flower9 purse cut from Forever Young cut at 6".
  • I decorated the purse before assembling it so that the glue would dry flat.
  • I just used random embellishments from my stash and a little bit of silver stickles.
  • The sentiment is My Pink Stamper Family and Friends (sorry Emma I don't own any of your stamps, YET!!)
I hope you enjoy this and inspires you to do something 3-D.  And wish me luck with the DT call.  Thanks Emma for the opportunity and all the fabulous inspirations!!

Thank You Card

Hi all
I had mentioned a while back that I had mad a thank you card for my sister in-law.  I can finally post it because I think that she has received it.  I didn't want to post it until she had received it because sometimes she does read my blog.  Anyway here it is...

The ribbon was the inspiration for the card colors.  I also got to use my new Cuttlebug that my wonderful husband got me for my birthday.  Hope you enjoy.

Card recipe:
  • Flower 1 from Forever Young at 3.5"
  • Flower embossing folder for the Cuttlebug
  • My Pink Stamper - Everyday Life

Birthday Cards

Hi all, I have been crafting away here making birthday cards for some of my favorite kiddos.  I tried to make cards that fit the personalities and likes of the kids.  I hope you enjoy!!

This first card is made with three cartridges.  The Robot is from the Wrap it Up cartridge.  This little guy is very detailed and so takes some time to put on all the parts, definitely needed to use the tweezers for this one.  The balloons are made with the Birthday Bash cartridge and the present border is made with the Gypsy Wanderings cartridge that came with my Gypsy.

This next card was made using two cartridges.  The birthday bee and balloons are made using the Birthday Bash cartridge.  The bee wasn't as detailed as the robot, but still took some time.  The grass border was made using the Plantain Schoolbook cartridge.  I really love the birthday saying that came with the bee.  The little guy I made this for loves bugs and has recently been stung by several bees!!!

This last card was made using three cartridges.  The dressy lady was done with the Forever Young cartridge.  The balloons are again from the Birthday Bash Cartridge and the Happy Birthday phrase is from the Gypsy Font cartridge.  As you can see I really love using all kinds of patterned paper.  I got to use a new product on the card to do the glitter word Diva.  I used a foiling pen and glitter stack that I found at the GASC.  I really love how easy it was to write on the card and make it come to life with the glitter.  You can view the product here.  I am not selling the product just wanted to share.

Hope you enjoy these cards.  It is back to crafting for me as I have a few projects that I need to complete before I am off on vacation.
