Waiting for the Storm

Just sitting here waiting for the big hurricane that is coming.  I plan to do some scrap-booking tonight just in case we lose power tomorrow.  Don't want to loose a Cricut cut in the middle due to a power outage!!!  Anyhow all of those on the east coast stay safe.  This is my second hurricane in my lifetime.  The first was a cat 3 that cancelled my wedding.  Nothing like hunkering down with your parents the day after your makeshift wedding!!!!  But we all survived, and we were married in the end.  All the rain has made for a very blessed marriage.

Back to crafting

Hi all
I am finally back to crafting.  I have been working the last couple days on my blog design and am finally back to crafting.  I hope you like the changes to the blog, your comments would be greatly appreciated.  And now to the craft of the day:  I made two cards tonight, but will only be sharing one because the recipient of one of the cards reads my blog!!  So the card that I am sharing tonight is for my Mom and Dad.  They graciously took care of my two rambunctious girls for a weekend so that my husband and I could get away for the weekend.  We had a fabulous weekend and I wanted to send my parents a Thank You card to show our appreciation.  (We had also gotten my Mom a massage)!!!  Anyway here is the card and I hope you enjoy it.  The card recipe is after the picture.

Card Recipe:

  • Sand dollar square card cut from Life's a Beach at 5"
  • Sand dollar and layers cur form Life's a Beach at 3"
  • Stamp:  My Pink Stamper Family and Friend

Vacation Crafting

Hello all, I have been having a wonderful vacation here down in Florida. My husband planned the most wonderful weekend away from the kids. They stayed with their grandparents while we were gone. I have been doing some crafting with the Gypsy and can't wait to share my creations when I get back. I have been working on the girls birthday invites and party decorations. Well one of my girls is up from her nap. I think we may head back to the beach.

Happy Summer Days.

Off to Vacation

Well I am finally off to vacation with my family tomorrow.  I will be gone for two weeks and sadly can't take my Cricut with me.  But I am taking my Gypsy, so the creativity should be flowing just not to the paper until I come back.  I hope to do all the planning for my girls' birthday party.  That way I can just cut and assemble when I get back.  Gotta love that Gypsy!!!  My husband does have a surprise planned for this trip so I may post once I get or experience it!!!

Happy Crafting.
