Good Evening All. Just crafting away while my hubby is out of town and decided to work on a card for him for Valentines Day. It is only right around the corner. I wanted to make something adult and sophisticated so I decided to go with a black and white card with a touch of red. I based the card on black and white but knew that I wanted to use a small scrap of deep red velvet paper that I had. After scouring through my scrap box I finally found it and sized the card based on how big a heart I could cut out of the scrap. Here it is:
Card Recipe:
- Base card is 5" x 5" in black
- Background paper is 4.5" x 4.5" from DCWV Bella Armoire stack
- Heart is 3" cut from Gypsy Wanderings
- The tag is 2.5" x 2.5" from Cricut Ultimate Creative Series Sampler image #27 Bonus 1
- Sentiment is from My Pink Stamper Love-alicious with red embossing powder
- I used the crop-a-dial to do the eyelets with red twine from Michaels
The tag is really decorative but kinda hard to see in the photo. I really matches the swirls on the paper. I am entering this in challenge #95 over at the
Fantabulous Cricut blog. The challenge is to use a tag other than a circle. Hope you enjoy and inspires a little love in all of you. Have a great evening.
Such a beautiful card! I wanted to also answer your question you left of the FCCB Quick Tip Tuesday about embossing fabric with the Cuttlebug. I actually have both and don't see any reason why it wouldn't work. Good luck.
