Congratulations Baby Card

Hello everyone, I have been crafting away at a card for a friend of mine who will very soon give birth.  We don't know what the sex of the baby is so I kept the card neutral.  I still think the card came out super cute.  I will give the recipe after the picture.  Let me know what you think!!

The recipe for this card is as follows:

Stork:  Cricut Wrap it Up
Baby: Cricut Stretch Your Imagination
Stamps:  My Pink Stamper: Sweet Baby

I embossed the saying on the front of the card with Linen embossing powder and just used a brown ink pad for the inner saying.

Hope you enjoy, I am off to work on my second daughters first year scrapbook.  I am hoping to have it done by her second birthday in October!!!

Hello Friend Party!!!

Okay so I stumbled on this site from one of the other sites that I follow on Blogger and decided I would play along.  http://sassysites.blogspot.com/2011/07/hello-friend-party.html

Why did you decide to start blogging?
I decided to start blogging because I realized that I need to give to take.  I have been receiving so much inspiration from other crafting sites and decided that it is only fair to give some inspiration as well.

When you aren't blogging, what are you doing?
I am a SAHM to two wonderful little girls, ages almost 2 and almost 4.  They keep me really busy all the time!!!  I only get to craft after bedtime!!

What is your blog about?
My blog is about using my cricut in my crafting endeavours.  I make cards, scrapbook, and even have made some T-shirts.

When do you find the time to blog?
I find the time to blog during nap-time and after bedtime.  I really try to devote my full attention to the girls when they are awake.  And yes I said it, they both still take naps and at the same time every day!!!
Why do you love blogging?
I have found that blogging allows me to share my creativity beyond the loved ones that I craft things for.

What is your favorite post so far that you've written?
I would say that my favorite post so far, and there haven't been many, is the one about the T-shirts that I made for July 4th.  I really feel I did a good job explaining how I completed the project.

Well that is all about me now off to bed.

Birthday Cards

Hi all, I have been crafting away here making birthday cards for some of my favorite kiddos.  I tried to make cards that fit the personalities and likes of the kids.  I hope you enjoy!!

This first card is made with three cartridges.  The Robot is from the Wrap it Up cartridge.  This little guy is very detailed and so takes some time to put on all the parts, definitely needed to use the tweezers for this one.  The balloons are made with the Birthday Bash cartridge and the present border is made with the Gypsy Wanderings cartridge that came with my Gypsy.

This next card was made using two cartridges.  The birthday bee and balloons are made using the Birthday Bash cartridge.  The bee wasn't as detailed as the robot, but still took some time.  The grass border was made using the Plantain Schoolbook cartridge.  I really love the birthday saying that came with the bee.  The little guy I made this for loves bugs and has recently been stung by several bees!!!

This last card was made using three cartridges.  The dressy lady was done with the Forever Young cartridge.  The balloons are again from the Birthday Bash Cartridge and the Happy Birthday phrase is from the Gypsy Font cartridge.  As you can see I really love using all kinds of patterned paper.  I got to use a new product on the card to do the glitter word Diva.  I used a foiling pen and glitter stack that I found at the GASC.  I really love how easy it was to write on the card and make it come to life with the glitter.  You can view the product here.  I am not selling the product just wanted to share.

Hope you enjoy these cards.  It is back to crafting for me as I have a few projects that I need to complete before I am off on vacation.

Fourth of July

So here is some T-shirts that I made.  I got the idea from a friend who got the idea from http://familyfun.go.com/.  They came out great.  I had to make 4 adult and 5 kids shirts and they took no time at all.

I did this using Freezer Paper, fabric paint, and my Cricut.  Here are the steps for making the T-shirt.

1.  I cut the freezer paper into 12 x 12 square to fit on my Cricut Expression mat.

2.  I choose the a star out of the Plantain Schoolbook cartridge and arranged them on the mat in the pattern I wanted.

3.  I then placed the freezer paper matte or non-wax side down on my cutting mat and cut the pattern with the Cricut.

4.  I then put the freezer paper template that was just made wax side down on the T-shirt and used a non-steaming iron to adhere it to the T-shirt

5.  The I put a piece of cardboard between the front and back of the T-shirt and used the fabric paint to paint inside the stencil

6.  Let the paint dry for a couple hours and then peel off the freezer paper.

This was so easy and everybody looked great in their T-shirts.

Father's Day Cards

Hello again.  Here are the cards that I made for Father's Day this year.  They are very simple, as I did not have a bunch of time.  I made them using my Cricut and the Wrap it Up cartridge.  Enjoy..

Cards from the Past

Hey everyone, so for my upcoming posts I thought that I would share some cards that I made this year for Mother's day and Teacher Appreciation Day.  I like to use ribbon on my cards as well as my Cricut to make the borders for labels.  Hope you enjoy these.

Easter This Year

So here are the Easter cards I did for my girls this year.  I used the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge for the Cricut to produce these cards.  My girls loved them!!

Hello Everyone!!!

So this is my very first post ever!!!  I am so excited to be starting this blog about everything I do crafty!!!  I love making cards and scrapbooking.  I even made some T-shirts for our Fourth of July celebration.  I fell into scrapbooking after my first daughter was born.  I realized that I wanted to capture her moments in a unique way and have been addicted ever since.  I fell into card making after I received a Cricut machine for Christmas.  It is the best machine ever, although I wish my cartridge library was a little bigger.  I hope to inspire you with this blog as well as take some inspiration from you!!!  I am always looking for new ideas to fuel my creativity.  Most of my crafts are inspired by the ones I love.
