Father's Day Tie Card with Cricut

Good morning, hope your day has been starting well.  Today I have a super simple Father's Day card I made for my Dad.  Simple is always better when it comes to my father.  It doesn't take much to make him happy.  So here it is.

Card Recipe:

  • Used the Cricut Imagine to create the charcoal grey colored card
  • Ties cut from Wrap it Up at 2"
  • Font is from Kate's ABCs cut at 0.6"
So that is that.  Super simple, I think the hardest thing was lugging my Cricut Imagine onto the table to get the color I wanted for the card.  I am entering this card into the Father's Day Challenge over at My Craft Spot.  Hope you enjoy and thanks for stopping by.

Free Father's Day Cards in CCR

Hi

Just a quick post, there are some free Card images available in Cricut Craft Room for Father's Day.  I think this is the list, but don't hold me to it.  I don't get sponsored by Provocraft or Cricut so this is just for information only.  Here is the list

Go to Cricut Craft Room Exclusives in CCR and
  • Father's Day - Golfing
  • Father's Day - Man of the House
  • Father's Day - My Old Man
  • Father's Day - Sunday Best
  • Father's Day - World's Greatest Father
I have seen on other blogs that the other Father's day cards are for $1.99.  Just an FYI, this would be a quick way to put together a couple father's day cards.  Hope you have a good evening.

Rose Birthday Card with Cricut

Hi all, hope your week has been going great.  We are busy busy with summer!!  Also getting ready for father's day.  I think this is one of my girl's favorite days because they love their Daddy so much.  So my project for today is a card I made for a friend of mine.  She celebrated her birthday over the weekend and I wanted to make her a card for her special day.  I was having trouble coming up with an idea so I turned to some challenge blogs for inspiration.  I came across the Bitten by the Bug 2 challenge which is themed around roses and decided to go with it.

Card Recipe:

  • A2 sized card
  • Indie Art Roses cut at 3" and 4"
  • My Minds Eye lime twist twine
  • Flourish Cuttlebug folder
  • Frosted Lace stickles
  • Sentiment from My Pink Stamper Family and Friends
I really love how the Cuttlebug folder kinda distressed the blue paper, gives it a little more dimension.  This card was pretty fast to put together.  That's what I love about the challenges, they can sometimes inspire my creations.   Hope you have enjoyed and thanks for stopping by.

Birthday Card with Imagine

Hi all

Wow it has been a fast week!!!  We have been busy doing summer cleaning and frolicking in fountains.  I have been doing some crafting, getting used to my new space.  So for today I have a birthday card I made for my brother.  I wanted something simple so I used the Just Because Cards cartridge.  I love this one because all the components of the card are there if you want to whip up a quick card.  So here it is:

So I don't really need to list a recipe for this card.  It is all the card and image features from Just Because Cards cut at 6".  That is what is cool about this cartridge, you cut everything at the same size and it works into a complete card.  I am entering this in the color challenge over at I came, I saw, I created.  You can find the color codes on the webpage linked.  And incidentally this is a cartridge that I won in another challenge on  Renee's site.  Thanks Renee!!!  So that is that, hope you all have a great weekend.

Craft Center Done!!!

Hi all, hope you have had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.  We had a great one.  One of the things that we got completed was my craft center.  Yeah!!!!  My husband made this craft center from scratch, meaning plywood.   He did an amazing job.  Okay so I have to give some credit also to my little girls.  They helped daddy assemble and paint it.  They are both going to put some man to shame with their handy woman skills someday.  At 2 and 4 years old they know all the power tools and what they are used for!!!  So proud of them.  So without further adieu here it is.

Here is the whole thing.  So much crafting space!!!

This is my paper organizer.  On the desk top above it I will put my Cricut Expression.

This is my drawer space and ribbon organizer.  Haven't decided what will be in each drawer but I am sure it will be soon filled.

This is the actual ribbon organizer.  It is different from the previous pictures because we redesigned it.  Originally the ribbons were going to actually be an the dowels, but after some thought decided that it would be easier to maintain with this set up.  I put my ribbon in it yesterday and I must have too much ribbon because it is almost filled!!!  I love it.

So that is it.  I really love it and can't wait to create something in the space.  I may be doing that tonight.  Hope you all have a good week.  I will have some more posts on projects this week!!!  Thanks for visiting.

Graduation Card with the Cricut

Hi all, hope your week has been going well.  Ours has been pretty good.  We got off to a good start this week, with meal planning and the like.  I even went to the gym before 9 am!!!  That is a feat around here.  Anyhow, I am bringing you a Graduation card I made for my darling 4 year old.  She is graduating from pre-school tomorrow.  She is so excited because she gets to sing with all of her class mates for the parents.  I can't wait to see if she actually sings once she gets in front of all those people.  So here is the card.

Card Recipe:

  • DCWV textured card stock cut down to an A2 size card
  • White card stock cut to 4" x 5.25" and embossed with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder
  • Ribbon from Michaels
  • Girl cut from Once Upon a Princess at 3"
  • Outfit cut from Once Upon a Princess at 3"
  • Graduation cap made from two shapes in the Cricut Craft Room Basics
  • Tassel made with We R Memory Keepers Watermelon Floss
  • Sentiments from My Pink Stamper Sweet Baby and Family & Friends
Well thats the card.  I love how the tassel came out.  I found out after I made the card that her cap is white.  Had I known I would have customized that.  Oh well.  I am entering this card into two challenges this week.  The Graduation challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut and the Congratulations challenge over at My Craft Spot.   Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a great week.
